The ANZICS End-of-life Care Working Group (EOLCWG) is a sub-committee of the DODC and represents the Society’s interests in matters related to End-of-Life care in the ICU. The Working Group is responsible for developing and promoting the below statement:
The Working Group provides advice on strategies to improve care and decision making at the end-of-life for the critically ill, as well as on the educational needs of intensive care doctors with regard to end-of-life care of the critically ill. Another important function of the Committee is liaising with other organisations, groups, and Government on issues related to care and decision making at the end-of-life for the critically ill and organ and tissue donation.
