Gardens Point Campus map \n  \nThis is a great opportunity to explore large intensive care health datasets motivated by real-world questions with clinicians and data scientists working side-by-side.\nLearn new skills and be mentored by the best in the field.\nRegistration is free!\nWhat is a Datathon why is it important?\nA datathon is an interactive event where participants work together in teams to solve a clinical question through applying data science tools and techniques to analyse large dataset(s). Clinicians and data scientists (including trainees) work together to generate insights and potential solutions to the clinical question. \nSince 2017\, ANZICS has hosted datathons to provide opportunities for intensive care clinicians and trainees\, data scientists\, biostatisticians and researchers to explore the large repository of data held in the ANZICS Clinical Registry to answer practical questions that may inform or improve patient care. \nPartnering with the Queensland University of Technology’s School of Computer Science and Centre for Data Science\, the ANZICS 2024 Intensive Care Datathon brings together clinical and data science enthusiasts and experts to explore the depths of the ANZICS Registry datasets which hold over 3 million episodes of care.         \nWe welcome students and trainees alike to get involved. DESCRIPTION:This year\, we are holding the ANZPIC Registry Study Day on Monday\, 30th September 2024\, in Sydney at the Agency for Clinical Innovation\, 1 Reserve Rd\, St Leonards\, NSW.\nThe purpose of the Study Day is to provide support to the staff at each site who are responsible for the collection and coding of the registry data. The aim is to ensure the quality and consistency of the submitted data by providing a forum for education\, discussion of the process and outcomes\, and the opportunity to contribute to the future development of the ANZPIC Registry. Participation in the training on this day should also assist in minimizing time for data query resolution and subsequent data cleaning.\nThe Study Day is free of charge\, with lunch provided\, and is open to anyone who has involvement with the Registry data. (It is expected that each unit will provide financial support for travel costs for their staff).
