DESCRIPTION:WELCOME \nOn behalf of the organising committee\, we warmly invite you to attend the Australia and New Zealand Intensive Care Society New Zealand Regional Scientific Meeting 2024. The meeting will use the acronym ANZICS NZ RSM 2024 and will be held at the Grand Millennium Hotel\, Auckland from the 11th to 13th November 2024. \nKia ora\, the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Intensive Care Unit\, Te Toka Tumai\, Auckland are proud to host the Australia and New Zealand Intensive Care Society New Zealand Regional Scientific Meeting 2024. \nThe theme for the ANZICS NZ RSM 2024 is “The future’s so bright”. \nAs you will be only too aware\, since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic four years ago\, we have seen unprecedented strain on our Intensive Care Units and their staff. This has required us to adapt\, innovate and work in extraordinary ways. As we move to recover\, we are keen to explore these innovations and see how we can be future looking and inspired to work in new ways while looking after and future proofing ourselves. We want to ensure we are prepared to deliver exceptional care to our critically ill patients and their whānau. \nWe are thrilled to have an outstanding line up of speakers who will deliver thought provoking keynote and plenary sessions on a range of topics including state of the art clinical updates; education; personal well-being and career development.
